A Training/Retreat Facility for Residential Programs

We do need a facility on Bowen that has institutional support but it should have close connection to the community. We’ve learned a lot over the years about what it takes to host well here and to bring visitors INTO the experience of Bowen. However it works it needs to not be exploitative if local contractors, catererers and the like. We have incredible food prep capability on Bowen but we lose access to it if facilities are managed with expensive surcharges put on caterers. If we do this a key objective of the facility needs to be preference for local contractors and a focused intention to support and enhance these local services and businesses.
