Aging in place facility

Given the number of seniors living on Bowen there is a need for a large scale aging in place facility, or community, that goes beyond the scale of Snug Cove House. At present the only option for seniors is to move off island. It would be very desirable If there was an alternative for seniors to downsize. This would free up their existing properties into the housing market and enable a move into a specialized facility that offered the option of rental or purchase.

I think this is very important and the housing has to be an affordable or reasonable market rate. There are many overhoused people on island with nowhere to go if they want to remain on island. And their homes aren’t available for others who are displaced. Diversity of housing type — really.
