unknown author7 years ago Reduce the use of fireworks' impact on people with PTSD and animals by eliminating the use and sale of personal fireworks on the island. Require permitting for fireworks events.There has been interest in reducing fireworks on the island and several signature sheets have gathered up signatures in support of this issue. If this issue successfully reaches the threshold vote level, I will suggest a motion be put forward by a member of Council to direct staff to draft a bylaw that will limit the impact of fireworks on the island, while still allowing some limited events with fireworks.
